Casio celebrates 50 Years of Casio Watches with the Casiotron TRN-50Z Commemorative Watch. The first Casiotron was in 1974 and embodies the spirit of craftsmanship, inspired by the thrill of “making something out of nothing” (the thrill of going from “0” to “1”). The Casiotron was the first wristwatch released by Casio and also the world’s first digital watch with an automatic calendar function.
The TRN-50ZE 50th Anniversary Edition pays homage to the original, with a black and gold color scheme evoking the first flash of light, that spark of artisanal innovation. The TRN-50ZE-1AER features gold-colored bezels, logos and other elements that complement the sophisticated look for a luxurious design that makes it easy to tell the time.
Stainless steel bands with separate polished and mirror finishes add a sophisticated, textured appeal. The single gold link on a black ion-plated strap is a special touch that catches the eye, as it flashes like a light breaking through the darkness. “50TH ANNIVERSARY” was also laser-engraved on the link. The case back features special design features “50TH ANNIVERSARY OF CASIO WATCHES” surrounded by zeros and ones: making something out of nothing” (the thrill of going from “0” to “1”). It comes in special environmentally responsible packaging made from recycled materials, including a cotton bag for storing accessories.
