About the SPB431J1 watch | Seiko Prospex SUMO European Limited Edition, "Silfra":

The SPB431J1 is inspired by Silfra, the famous crevice located in Thingvellir National Park in Iceland, in a connection between the defiant spirit of Prospex (Keep Going Forward) and the challenge of divers in Silfra.

The dial of the SPB431 recreates the fissures in ocean straits, represented through a gradient from the center of the dial.

Seiko "Sumo" is named for the volume and shape of its case.

The crystal is sapphire with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface and amplifies the date at 3 o'clock.

Coating also on its bracelet that gives it greater resistance to scratches and durability.

Its accordion-style silicone strap, a design that was invented by Seiko in 1975, is the practical solution for changing the size of a diver's wrist at different depths.
