About the Seiko Prospex Speedtimer 1/100 sec Limited Edition 40th Anniversary watch
Precision and readability stand out in a new range of Prospex Speedtimer 1/100-second Solar Chronographs.
Seiko has been a pioneer in sports timing since 1960, being chosen as timekeeper at various international sporting events. It now introduces four new speedtimer models.
This limited-edition creation with a brown-toned dial celebrates the 40th anniversary of the world's first analog quartz chronograph, introduced in 1983. The reddish-orange dial and hands pay homage to the world's first analog chronograph to display elapsed time. in 1/100 second increments, which was introduced by Seiko nine years later in 1992. This was a particularly landmark development in Seiko's analog quartz chronograph history.
